Hi all just wondering if my pc cant cut this game with my current specs:
Windows XP SP3 9800GT 2gb ram 800wpsu 3ghz duel core
I set the graphics to "fast" and the resolution really low but whenever cars crash especially I get around 3-4fps, some maps are unplayable and when too much stuff is happaning it just slows big time, and when racing when the cars arent crashing there is still slowdown.
Is this optimisation needed on this game or is it my pc?

You are running the game on high graphics setting. Press escape once the race has started to control the graphics settings.

Hi I've got graphics set to very low because when there is a lot of traffic the framerate is just terrible so im hoping you guys are going for optimization in the next patch because i am really looking forward to this game and hope it does well been hoping for a game like road rash forever also have you thought about adding a chain in as a melee weapon and also different sorts of bikes would be awesome like dirt bikes and stuff just to add that extra verity loving the game so far thought and hope it does well

I purchased the game from Humble Bundle and am loving it so far, but I also want to report some lag. The gameplay and everything is amazing, and I realize this is only .002, but I would like to request some optimization as well. I run it at the lowest resolution with lowest graphics settings and I still experience lag (not even 10 fps) when cars are crashing, etc. Of course, I'm not complaining, just reporting, as an Alpha tester should! :-)
Specs:
AMD Athlon 64-bit X2 5600+ running at 2.9 GHz 4Gb RAM Radeon HD 5750 (w/ DX11 capability)

Yeah on mine I have to set my graphics to "low" or below to get decent framerates. I guess I can't complain, since my computer is almost a decade old! Still, it doesn't make sense that I can get great framerates at lower graphics but people with better specs than me (XPSP3, 2.66GHz duel core, Nvidia 7950GT 512mb, 3gb ram) get a worse experience. I am confident that this is just because it is .002 Alpha, not the final release.

We are working on game slowdown issues that are related to physics collision issues generated by the in game traffic. This will be better in the next release.
That said these issues are not that bad if you turn down the graphics settings to medium and have a computer from the last 3-4 years. But they definitely need to be addressed and will be fixed in the next build.
I can personally run 4 player split screen on medium settings with very little frame rate loss.

guys buy a nvidia and never have lag in games If you buy a shitty nividia card, you will have a bad time aswell. Your argument is invalid. Enough feeding the trolls, though. Yeah, the game doesn't run too well at the moment, but it's a very early alpha release, so it's not really supposed to run at 120 fps or something. It's supposed to work, so the devs can add new stuff and improve the already existing content, which will also include optimization.

It's mostly an issue for people with lower end pc's. My PC for example has some issues during car storm, dropping to like, 5 FPS sometimes, but that's due to my horrible specs. I mean, I am currently sporting a Nividia GeForce GTX 560 Ti, an Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 with 2.33GHz per core and only about 3 GB RAM. Well, only until next Wednesday. I will buy myself a new PC next Wednesday since that's the day my money arrives at my bank account. I had this PC for like, 5 years now. I think it's time for a new one. Upgrading this one would be like feeding a dead horse. You just don't do it.

I have Six core AMD overclocked to 4.3GHz and 16GT RAM and I still get lag even though with those specs there should be no lag at all. I don't know what is causing it since my monitor tells me that my cpu is only at 60% and RAM at 20-30%. I would be very happy if someone would know how to fix this.

And this game shouldn't require much power. It has nothing.
