One of the most fond memories I have of Road Rash 64 is unlocking the Insanity tier bikes (300+MPH) and racing on The Wall stage. There was nothing more satisfying than watching the racers slam full speed into the wall right after the checkered flag. A close second would be struggling to stay on the winding country roads and watching as all the racers slam into an overpass because of the airtime one could get with these bikes.
I actually found the super speed bikes at the end of road rash 64 to be frustrating. They were so crazy fast it was near impossible to stay on the road. If they did add it i think it be fun to add it in a mode/difficulty level where every bike was ridiculously fast.
IMO this is the best part of RR64. A few years after I first bought road rash 64 I decided to try driving the insanity bikes, at first...........impossible, but after a few days eventually learned to do it. Throttle control and brakes! Then for a few years after that I'd try to do "level 5 marathon" on the insanity bikes fast as I could without crashing, it was always challenging since traffic changes every race. One or two of those and my brain would be fried so I'd race "beat down" and try to get all 14 cops.
To THIS VERY DAY my brother and I still compete for best time, usually thrash marathon or impossible dream. He has be beat on impossible dream, but I am king of marathon.
I hope to see a similar level of difficulty in this new game, but if not I don't blame them. Most do not have the attention span to spend weeks learning to ride the insanity bikes!
the insanity bikes are actually drivable!! just takes 3 years of training LOL
