i enjoy 3DVision, i encourage the team to upgrade the settings ! At the moment, it's playable but not too a long time.
i appreciate the fact to go far from the road too. As jones wrote : - I dont like the fact that weapons are overflowing in the game, it should be a little more rare and exortic to get weapons, not just "kill 1 person, eeey you found a battle axe, kill new person, eeey now you got a Ak74" I would prefer it more to be something to buy before a battle, from your klub and that the status of your rank in the klub determins what weapons are availible to buy. Also if you run out of weapons during a run, you should just steal from other racers or police, or use grab, kick and punch (if that comes) or the natural inviroment.
First of all your Butthole is wrong, aboutthe is a typo.
Also, Where is the motorcycle HUD?!?!?!?! It's like this game is Missing a HUG, all it is missing, is the nostalgia part, which is the DOUBLE DUAL BI-VISION= the Motorcycle's HUD AND the Motorcycle, gives you that feeling of being on the big bike and controlling the character, IE being GOD./Please fix this and I will gladly buy it for 20$ and play every day...but damn where is this guyysss!:
Please don't get past this, it is missing the Nostalgia effect,I know I've been on Mac installing SKULLCRACKER for a week now. And I went Xargon Joe & Mac Jazz Jackrabbit Whacky Wheels Duke Nukem... Then I went Looking for Road rash from my young manly Personal Computing days... You NEED the hud, and So At your video I thought maybe you omitted it because it was a sort of hallmark landmark of the original creators and you did not wish to rep them? You are not Ripping them off They would be proud of you completely understanding the historical pressure this game has. You Need this HUD DAMMMMMMMNNNN SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY
BTW first post saw your game on youtube from my hunt, also found a newly-coded version of the old one which works great on PC win8.1..check it out maybe you'll change your minds... <3
Think need for speed first person with 3rd person at the SAME TIME, how cool and trippy is THAT. It's groundbreakingly psychedelic is what it is. I DARE YOU to code it. You would be the first to meld and mend both visions together except for road rash Which I think is what you do best isn't it.
NO but seriously, must be run back to bike upon fall, must be no boost must be follow road effortlessly must be authentic like original RoadRash or else True Nostalgia fans will be disapoint. It doesn't really get you anywhere it's just grinding you down and grinding you down... there was no block in 1, just hit, you could steal weapon with the punch arm. paths to chose, like left and right, and you had to stick to one side or else you would whack the middle. There is not enough magnetism to road like Road Rash#1 PC. I am true fan, I am not pleased. But I am impressed. also the view is too far, over-dynamic, because the mouse was not in RoadRash#1, no one playing a casual game like this wants to grab the mouse. We play oldschool DOS keyboard on knees style. Play the #1, Copy it completely with this engine, show people, or strike a deal With EA to make it big. There is so much potential here you basically have a game you need to mod it now. I have seen games like bf1942 get modded into Greatness, so will this, good job.
Sorry About yesterday I Was a little pissed, I played today It was fun! but the goals are just terrible, They are missing the FACES, the CARRICATURES that were SIGNATURE of the road rash... the faces man the FACES
after the races the funny punk rock scene 90s, you guys failed to reproduce the 90s.
Other then that bloody good fucking job.
pardon my fwrench
You could go down to the bar and ENJOY some PEOPLES, i feel so ALONE in this game.
Punks used to be friendly you know, This seriously should be remade as a fucking rpg...no GTA V shit...I mean a deep gritty Road Rash Game...Where you get out your house in a menu, from the menu go see people at the bar, from the menu check the billboard, from the fucking menu get a fucking race and go fucking run over some people, WHERE ARE THE PEDESTRIANS?! For fuck sake guys you totally missed the ball here and ignored the true fans that you were making this for. Have none of you fucking played Road Rash 1 At ALL.
It's as if you made a frankenstein motorcycle game from some other stupid-ass games that didn't really ever matter like Road Rash did....you didn't even mention the rashes.
You guys have a serious communication issue for some talented motherfuckers like yourselves.\
...And people like you is why this game fails at being great fan favorite nostalgia machine. Instead it's a piss poor, who cares we put money into this through kickstarter so add all our bells and whistles and make it a frankenstein pile of shit with stitches and going so many different pathes it's blinder than a bat at baseball, seriously guys you should have taken the money, and completely Went YOUR WAY like EA, fucking kickstarter ruining good shit man... Hey at least you advertised yourselves and now Maybe some BIG company will pick this up once breaking bones and crashing crushed pavements are implemented. (btw I like your ragdolls, impeccable, though.)
I'm actually very disappointed after reading "Motorcycle Physics In Road Redemption", which is completely wrong. At least do a little research on bi-wheel physics - 2-wheel vehicles all lean to turn, regardless of the shape of the tires, it is designed to turn when leaning otherwise it would fall over the other direction.
To be clear, the statement "So that’s why you turn left when you lean left." is incorrect, while the tire's shape might make it DRIFT left, it's the steering that makes it TURN left. Lock the handlebars down straight and the bike won't turn no matter what you do.
Stoker is correct that you can't TURN a bike without turning the handle-bars, however, I'd also say that you can't turn a bike without leaning also. (Except for perhaps at very low, non-road-rash-like speeds...
That said, what don't you like about the maneuvering in RR?
I don't think I want to spend the money on Redemption, yet, but I was wondering just what leaning does in Road Rash 95 (EA 1996). I use an analog joystick and decided to use it for leaning instead of turning, and the keyboard to turn (A - D). It seems that turning turns faster and leaning turns slower - this is fine. But it also seems that leaning causes you to slide easier - probably not what it should do, but I haven't got the fastest bike yet in this config. Once I get used to it I think this makes it more fun and a bit more realistic. Leaning a bike allows you to turn faster, you could never make those corners at 100+ MPH in RR without leaning, in reality. But in the game you can finish every race, with the rat bike at least, by just turning OR just leaning (which is real hard because it's so slow). I think that what should happen is leaning too little should cause you to drift out of the corner, and leaning too much should make you drift to the inside of the corner. Not leaning at all at high speed should cause you to slide out of the corner, maybe. Of course leaning also seems to help when you are kicking, as it should. Perhaps turning while kicking should make you wipe out, I would expect you should have to lean toward your kick.
I plan to experiment with the faster superbikes and see if they are any different in handling than the sports. I think that a game like this could be a bit educational if more realistic, as opposed to being too easy to control. Especially considering the them of the game (killing other riders?), it could possibly teach riders something about controlling a motorcycle and redeem itself somewhat. Proper control of the motorcycle is the most difficult thing to learn about riding, which I learned the hard way by trial and error and not realizing what I was doing. I can still remember trying to make a corner at high speed by leaning only, which of course doesn't work, if I had only known then that I could have just pushed on the handlebar a little harder, I could have avoided some close calls.
I think I should take the time to write a thread on this, if I can. A little deeper analysis is in order.
