The new physics feel good though there are some slight touches I would make. One I feel that turning needs to be tighter across the board. I still think there needs to be a proper leaning steer button that has a risk of wiping out. In the original road rash some obstacles you could oversteer into and keep from wiping out because you would hit the obstacle with more of the underside of the bike and then you just had to worry about not shooting off the side of the track.
I also noticed at the start of the race the bike isn't sliding around like it is on ice. Happy to see that fixed with the physics update.
The new standard shader has done wonders for the look of the game as well. Over all performance is also nice.
I assume you guys will be using the new Unet features of Unity? Would be curious to see the devs respond on what they like and don't like about the new networking api.
Was traffic AI altered? Feels a bit more realistic now. I like it.
Would still love to see a rear view mirror down at the bottom of the screen. Very small setup. Just big enough to see if someone is there or get the rough gist of what has happened behind us while we are speeding down the road. It was a very handy feature from the original series.
some stuff I'd like to see, sorry if redundant. Consider this adding to the pile of votes for these features rather than repeats
- online multiplayer! ( of course ) - simple character customization. Skinny/fat/muscular. Male/Female. 3 shades of skin tone. Name the rider yourself. - some bike customization would be cool too. Tires, etc. - cars make an effort to avoid you, even a little bit - start countdown / flag / rolling start - more shortcuts, side roads - "hero" or boss like riders?
