If you are curious about the results of the gun poll, it showed that the vast majority of backers either were cool with guns as a minor combat feature, or had no opinion as long as we make an awesome game. Smashing!
We've added a separate thread for Road Redemption Fan Art and Fan Fiction for you inspired creative, types. If it's killer stuff, it could be featured.
Our big announcement this week is to confirm the presence of split-screen multiplayer in all planned versions of Road Redemption! Hooray!
Here's a quick update: We've been hard at work in the Unity 4 Game Engine, working with the newly introduced animation system called Mecanim. Stay tuned for a new dev blog in the coming days, which will shed light on our experience with character animation in Unity thus far. We'll discuss things like blend trees, state machines, and our animation pipeline of Maya, MotionBuilder, and Unity 4.
